‘A child’s world is full of colours.’

In Kindergarten, children are introduced first to primary colours and then to secondary colours.

So as to make the students be familiar with the colour yellow, they were asked to dress in yellow coloured clothes. Students were shown pictures and objects in yellow colour like banana, lemon etc. They were also made to colour the pictures of yellow objects like egg yolk, sunflower etc. In order to make the learning experience enjoyable, the students were made to recite rhymes based on the colour yellow, along with the teacher. They were encouraged to look for yellow coloured objects in their house and were asked to show it to their friends during the class. This was done to ensure that the children have understood the colour well.
