“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it”. There is always something to be thankful for.

Naval KG School, Mankhurd, celebrated thanksgiving day dedicated to our supporting staff on Tuesday, March 12,2019.

The celebration commenced with the Headmistress thanking the support staff for their unceasing efforts. The sparkling clean school, happy children and teachers are all credited to these members of NKG family.

To make it a special day for their didi’s (as they are fondly addressed), representative from each class recited a poem, song or few lines about them. Every teacher took turn to highlight the special qualities of her didi. They fondly thanked them for the yearlong support. Gardner bhaiya was also thanked for keeping the outdoors clean and for maintaining the beautiful garden. Later, didi’s were made to play musical chair with kids enthusiastically cheering them all. Each and every Didi and gardner bhaiya was greeted by a thank you card by their respective class children and a small token of appreciation from the management.

NKG Mankhurd, children took this opportunity to show gratitude toward their Auto and van Kaka by giving a handmade thank you card. Gratitude was also extended to all the departments of INS Tanaji who support the school during various events.

The programme was indeed a way of demonstrating the notions of respect and dignity of labour which will definitely help the children in imbibing these values.
