World around us is full of different shapes and colour. Colours are indeed the smiles of nature. Teaching children about colors and shapes is a great way to give them some vocabulary for describing the world around them. This opens up new and exciting avenues for verbal communication. As children learn to identify colors and shapes, they can sort and classify objects in around them based on these attributes. Colors sometimes give us information about health and safety. For example, we use red in our culture to indicate ‘danger’ or ‘stop,’ such as with red stop lights and red stop signs. Red colour symbolizes enthusiasm, life and vitality. Red is also the colour of power and courage. The Naval Kg School, Mankhurd celebrated Red Day on 9th April 2019.

The day started with a vibrant display of red colour things in assembly area with red balloons, flowers, fruits, beads, toys etc. Children and teachers were in red colour dresses. Here a red, there a red, everywhere red.. red.

Our little ones spent a spectacular fun filled day. For take away activities our nursery kids made paper plates watermelons and LKG children made craft papers strawberries. UKG children did free hand drawings of red color things like apple, pomegranate, tomato, strawberry, post box etc in their drawing book.

Learning was fun on red day and the children are looking forward to learn about yet another colour.
