Purple colour represents wisdom, creativity, and independence. Purple colour day was celebrated in Naval KG School Mankhurd, on 10th December 2019 to make children aware about the colour and how it adds beauty to things around us. One week prior to the colour day, several purple objects (dolls, cars, balls and flowers) were placed, painted all around the school. On 10th teachers and student came dressed in Purple coloured outfits. They also brought many purple colour the objects like toys, fruits vegetables etc.
Assembly area was decorated with purple colour things. Teacher and children with different shades of purple lined up before assembly to showcase various shades of purple. Teacher while reciting a poem on purple showed various purple colour objects.
Lots of activities were planned to reinforce the colour like nursery made purple butterfly as takeaway, LKG made pinwheel and UKG made free hand drawings and coloured purple objects. The purpose of celebration with education was fulfilled.
