On 13th September, NKG celebrated “Onam,” festival of Kerala. When teacher was narrating the story of King Mahabali and Vamana (Lord Vishnu), Nursery children were fully into the character and enacted the entire story. This was followed by a perfectly choreographed Thiruvathira kali by girls and boat race by boys. It was very soothing to the soul and the boat race was welcomed by children with great enthusiasm. Children brought flowers from home which were used to make flower Rangoli ( pookkalam) at the entrance of the school by the Nursery teacher and children. Later every class decorated class entrance will smaller pookalam.
Festive atmosphere was filled with the fragrance of flowers.
