Janmashtami Celebrations
Naval KG School, Mankhurd celebrates all festivals of India as and when they occur. On Friday, 27 of August 2021, the school celebrated Janmashtami virtually. All students and teachers took part in the celebration.The birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated as Janmashtami with great devotion and enthusiasm. It is believed that sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, more pleasant than any happiness and joy is the company of Krishna. The students wore traditional attires and few of them dressed up as Radha and Krishna. The mythological stories on Krishna were shown to the students through plays, narrations and short videos. A splendid colourful program and activities like making of flute, making of crown, and Dahi-handi craft were organized. The students also presented songs, dance performances, and a short role-play. With great enthusiasm the students took part in breaking the Dahi-Handi at their home during the class time in front of the camera. The purpose of the celebration was to inculcate the value of sharing, respect, and teamwork in the students.
