Another important topic introduced to children was Hand wash. The display board was decorated with chart demonstrating 8 steps of hand wash and when should one wash hands. A small skit was enacted by teachers to make children understand when and how to do the hand wash. 8-steps of hand wash were demonstrated:

• wet hands with running water.
• Apply small amount of soap.
• Rub your palms together till you see bubbles.
• Rub your fingers, thumbs & between the fingers.
• Rub your nails on your palms.
• Rub the back of each hand.
• Rinse with running water.
• Dry with a clean towel.

Children imitated the entire process of hand wash as demonstrated by teachers. Teacher also explained children when all should we follow these steps in a sing song way. The assembly finished with a small question and answer session. Children promised that they inculcate this habit in their daily life.
