Guru Nanak Jayanti
Guru Nanak Jayanti is also known as Gurpurab. Devotees around the world offer prayers and celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti with much respect and great zeal.
NKG Mankhurd celebrated Guru Nanak Jayanti by conducting a special activity. The celebration started with a prayer followed by narration of story on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak.
For depicting the story, teacher used videos, props and pictures to make the session lively and more interesting.
Teacher also described five holy things as per Sikh religion – Kesh, Kanga, Kachera, Kara and Kirpan
Children took part in kanga making activity with ice cream sticks and colourful straws. The activity session concluded by playing the song “Ek Satnam Wahe Guru”, during which all children were made to sit in prayer pose.
