In the month of June, as the Monsoon showers begin, we find the nature at its best. Leaves on trees appear in different shades of green and it seems as if green colour is painted all over. NKG Mankhurd celebrated green colour day on 29th June 2021.Teachers planned age-appropriate activities and these were conducted during the online class session under the guidance of the teacher and with the supervision of the parents. All students wore green coloured outfits and participated in various activities. Students of Nursery participated in observation of growth of a seed into a plant with green leaves, germination activity and also carried out a bottle cap printing activity. Finger and hand printing activities with green colour paint was done by the students of Lower KG and the students of Upper KG, participated in life skill activities like plucking leaves from Fenugreek, Mint stems etc and using them as an ingredient of their meal. The various activities of green colour day celebration were aimed at improving the life skills, observation skills, fine motor skills and imaginative skills of students.
