Plants are everywhere, but how do they grow? What happens under the ground? Watching seeds grow is an amazing science lesson for kids. Naval Kg Mankhurd conducts seed germination activity; it gives kids the opportunity to see up close how a seed grows what would actually be happening under the ground! To make the process more echo friendly, parents were asked to send an empty half coconut shell rather than plastic pots.

On 1st Oct, kids moved to the garden to learn and enjoy the process of germination. They were very curious and full of questions. They followed the entire process as demonstrated by teacher; filling the shell with soil, planting the seed of their choice and then watering it. They learned that growing is not instant; it needs patience, care and proper sunlight and water to germinate. Then the patience game began, everyday children would water their seed and wait for sign for germination. Within a few days, their excitement saw no boundaries when they saw a small green shoot peep out of the soil.
