Eid-Ul-Zuha, the festival of sacrifice is celebrated with traditional fervor and gaiety in India. It is called Eid-ul-Adha in Arabic and Bakri-Id in the Indian subcontinent. Special prayers and exchange of greetings and gifts mark this festival of Muslims. Naval KG Mankhurd celebrates various religious festivals so as to make the children aware about secularism in India and also to promote the idea of Unity in Diversity in India. Bakri-Id was celebrated virtually in school on 20th July 2021. Special prayer was conducted during the morning assembly. A simple story about prophet Ibrahim was narrated and children were encouraged to share sweets and gifts with family members. Activity session on magic painting and paper folding cap was conducted. Various videos related to the celebration were also shown to children. The celebration created an atmosphere of joy and happiness in the classroom.
