Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.” – Henry Ward Beecher.

This year’s Diwali was quite different from those before, as the whole world was braving a pandemic. While we all have been going great lengths to keep ourselves out of harm’s way, some brave men and women have been risking their own health and lives for the safety of us and our families.

This Diwali the children of Naval KG Mankhurd very enthusiastically participated in conveying our gratitude towards a few of those brave men and women. The children made beautiful ‘Thank You Cards’ with the help of their parents which were distributed to the Trombay police station, Anushakti Nagar bus depot and security personnel. While most children had their cards distributed through the school, some children personally presented them to the doctors, policemen and conservancy workers of their villages and localities without compromising their own safety.

This was also taken as an opportunity to congratulate and thank every member of INS Tanaji who through their meticulous planning, safety measures, strict discipline and selfless efforts managed to keep the base Covid-free throughout the 8 month period while being located next to a very vulnerable area. The children of NKG also sent special cards for the Chairman and other members of the School Management committee to thank them for their tireless efforts to keep the base safe.
