The students of Naval KG, Mankhurd virtually celebrated Baisakhi festival on 12th April 2021. The Celebration commenced by thanking the farmers who grow varieties of crops for us. Children were explained that Baisakhi is a major harvest festival celebrated in the northern India especially Punjab. They were shown a small animated video on how harvest of various crops are done and how the festival rituals are conducted in Punjab. The famous Dhol beat and Punjabi folk music added to the excitement. Children were also explained that on the day of Baisakhi celebration in Punjab various other states of India also celebrate some festivals like Puthandu in Tamilnadu, Vishu in Kerala, Rangali Bihu in Assam, Phelan Boisakh in West Bengal etc. As part of celebration, various activities were also conducted like making of head gear (Pagdi) by the nursery students, decorating a corn done by LKG students and finger painting of corn done by UKG students. The school celebrated Baisakhi with great zest and fervour.
