It is an enduring tradition to take time to pause, turn around to look at the fruitful year gone by. With great pleasure, our Headmistress Mrs Kanchan Sabnis presented School Annual Report to the gathering which highlighted the achievements and activities of the school.
It was time to begin the most awaited cultural programme, the theme for this year was Moral Values, the school has been doing several activities round the year to teach children these values, and this was the opportunity to showcase the learning. The cultural show began with a Welcome Dance by our Nursery (MB) children with their tiny steps on the stage for the first time.
UKG B performed on a song ‘My name is Madhavi’, wherein these children beautifully showcased that India might be full of diversities but together we are the most beautiful garden created by God. UKG D gave a roaring performance on ‘Greatest Show’ and brought out that one should dream big and work hard to achieve it, because everything one wants is right here and nothing is impossible. Nursery (AB) sweetly through a dance performance shared their motto of ‘eat healthy every day, junk food is for once in a while’. They also gave a message of eat healthy stay healthy. Showcasing the beautiful parallels between the rearing of a child and the growth of a plant, the kids of UKG C presented ‘Ek Chota BEEJ’. UKGA children came dressed up as various animals and gave a strong message that the earth belongs to them too and no one has a right to destroy it – ‘Prem Se Hum Ko Jeene Do’. LKG C kids brought out the present day problem of air pollution and deforestation through heart touching performance on ‘Sari Umar Hum Mar Mar Ke Ji Liye Ek Pal To Hame Jeene Do’. LKG A children came with a stunning performace on water pollution and water conservation – ‘yeh paani zindgani’. They gave a message that water is our life and we must preserve it. LKGB kids dance on a foot tapping number with a very strong message on usage of single use plastic – ‘Tick Tick Kasam Yeh Khaye Re’. They laid emphasis on need to replace plastic with environmental friendly materials and gave message ‘Be Fantastic Say No To Plastic’. LKGD our Showstoppers came dressed up in shades of tri colour, culminating the programme which covered the diversity of this country to the current issues which if checked on time can help give these children a better future, they gave a message towards our duties and responsibilities towards our nation by performing on ‘Swach Bharat Sundar Bharat’. The entire programme was appreciated by thunderous applaud from the audience.
We believe attendance and punctuality are the keys to success in students life. Being present in school every single day at this tiny age is commendable. For these efforts as an appreciation, our Chief guest Surg RAdm Shiela Mathai awarded trophies for 100% attendance during academic year 2019-20.
Surg RAdm Shiela Mathai, a very renowned and popular pediatrician, while appreciating the cultural programme congratulated team NKG for nurturing children with such good habits. She said nature and nurture together gives a very strong footing to children and she appreciated schools efforts toward extending that to the children.
The function concluded with National Anthem.
