Let’s salute the nation on this auspicious day.

73rd Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at our Naval KG School, Mankhurd. This is a big day for school as our chairman Commodore Amol M Sabnis, VSM comes to the school for flag hoisting. The entrance was decorated with hanging elements which were in tri colour. With every blowing breeze it gave a feel of waving Indian Flag.

Our little marshals welcomed our Chief Guest Commodore Amol M Sabnis, Vice chairman Capt Pushkar, Cdr Namita Dalal and Lt. Crd Prateek Shrivastav. Our guests pinned the National Flags to the respective class representatives of UKG, LKG, and Nursery kids. These were eco friendly Flags made from paper embedded with seed that would grow into Indian Basil plant (tulsi) or marigold when planted in the soil.

Our Chairman hoisted the National Flag; this was accompanied by children and staff singing the National Anthem. Our young leader Vivaan of UKG spoke about the National flag, National Anthem, and importance of Independence Day. After that entire NKG presented a song “Hind desh ke niwasi” to show how we celebrate unity in diversity. The ground echoed with well coordinated patriotic songs. Prachi of UKG sang “We shall overcome” confidently. LKG children (Mitansh,Hitharth,Atharav,Aarush) also showcased their talent by singing “Nanha Munna Rahi hoon”. Our Teacher, Jayita Pal was felicitated by our Chief Guest for getting Ist prize in a competition held by “World Meteorological Organisation”.
