On 26th April children entered the assembly area and were surprised to see a small Lemonade counter.  Teachers had setup the counter with all ingredients along with glasses and bowl of water. It was also decorated with lemon shaped paper cutouts and was aptly named “LET US ENJOY SUMMER DRINK”. The name gave a hint to the children that it is a summer time beverage.

First the teacher discussed the color of lemon, and then she cut it and showed how many seeds it has, after cutting it she removed the seeds and showed the children that lime has 3 to 4 seeds inside and they should not eat it. Few children were then given few drops of lemon juice to taste. When one or two drops were put in each Childs mouth they made faces. Teacher explained that lemons are sour in taste. For the preparation of lemonade three different taste ingredients were used ie lemon, sugar and salt (sour, sweet and salty in taste respectively). Thus through this small activity the taste sense of children was tickled. Every child wanted to taste and were promised that in class similar exercise will be done and every child will have the opportunity to taste it.

The process of mixing three totally different taste to make one yummy drink was explained. As the exercise was followed in all the classes separately, the children learnt how three totally different things can mix to make an interesting stuff. In class room 2 glasses, limes, a bowl of salt sugar was drawn on the board. After making nimbu Pani Activity all children were given half of glass to drink. All children enjoyed the delicious, yummy, sweet and sour Nimbupani. In this way Nimbupani activity was done in the assembly and also in the class. They were asked to make similar one at home and treat the family members with Nimbu Pani
