The 71st Republic Day was celebrated in the Naval KG School, Mankhurd on 24th January. The school and the assembly area were decorated with our national symbols and tricolour balloons. Importance of Republic Day and constitution of India was shared with children. Teacher displayed National Symbols like – Banyan tree, lotus, hockey, peacock, mango and also introduced national aquatic animal of India – river dolphin which has a long pointed snout.
While talking about Constitution of India, the teacher explained about the Rights and Duties. She shared that we enjoy several Rights as per the constitution of India but we also need to be aware of our duties. Children of LKG A performed a small skit emphasising upon water conservation, avoiding plastic, help reducing all types of pollution, planting trees and steps to keep their surroundings and country clean.
The celebration culminated with the patriotic songs . (Hum Sub Bharatya hai……., Hind desh ki niwasi…….)
