Navy Day was celebrated on 4 December in Naval KG School with great Pride. The entry board displayed with pride the three dimensions of Navy. Children were very excited to see pictures of aircraft carrier, war ships, fighter planes, helicopter, and submarines and were eager to learn more. In the assembly Teacher narrated the story behind the Navy Day celebration. With voice modulation and slight sound effect the scene was created where in the dark of night of Dec 1971 three Indian naval ships INS Nirghat, INS Veer & INS Nipat wreaked havoc on the Karachi harbour. Since then 4 Dec is celebrated as Navy Day to commemorate the courageous attack on the Karachi harbour. Ceremonial Ensign was displayed to the children in the assembly. A comparative between National Flag and Naval flag was drawn for more clarity. Later children were taken to Activity room and on EM board video of “Jai Jai Bharati…” showcasing the powerful Indian Navy was displayed. The room echoed with slogans of Jai Hind and children thoroughly enjoyed the display of valour and pride.
