Autumn break was around the corner and everyone was getting ready for Navratri celebrations.

Navratri or Dussehra is one of the popular festivals of our country, which gives the message- good always triumphs evil. Teacher narrated story related to this festival that is Ram Leela, story of Lord Shri Ram’s victory over Ravan. Teacher explained that Ram the good and Ravan the Evil are there within us and we will be victorious when we take up good path.

Teacher also narrated popular story of Navratri celebrations – Goddess Durga and buffalo headed demon Mahishasur. The battle between Goddess Durga and Mahishasur went on for nine days and on 10th day goddess was victorious and hence it is celebrated as vijaydashmi.

The celebrations concluded with dance to some popular Navratri music. Children enjoyed dancing Garba (a traditional dance form associated with this festival) along with teachers.
Children exchanged greetings for Dussehra before dispersing for autumn break.
