Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great pomp and show in Maharashtra and Naval KG Mankhurd also did a special assembly on 4th September to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. In the special assembly, teacher explained the importance of this festival and why we celebrate it in a large way. This year children of LKG performed a small skit depicting the story Lord Ganesh and Karthikeya race to prove the supremacy to parents. Through this story teacher explained that parents are very dear and anything which is very dear to you becomes the centre of your life. She also explained that challenges can be won by intelligence. Traditional pooja performed by Indian on this auspicious day was shown to children. They sang aarti along with teachers and savoured ladoos, Ganpati’s favourite sweet.

Two day workshop by a special trainer from K J Somaiya was organised by School. This was a voluntary workshop and children participated in huge number to make eco friendly Ganpati idol with clay. They were very happy to take self made Ganapati home.
