• Sandwich making activity was conducted on 29th August 2019.
• Sandwich making activity is a combination of fun and learning.
• Children brought fresh vegetables like tomatoes, cucumber from their home while school provided bread, butter and jam. Teacher prepared and bought green chutney.
• Teacher emphasised nutritious eating habits and children were encouraged to make their own sandwich.
• Two types of sandwiches were made. Firstly, children were asked to carefully apply butter and jam on the bread slices and secondly, arrange cut vegetables on the bread slices.
• Children had fun in arranging colourful cut vegetables on the slices.
• Children learnt using knife and cut the sandwich in different shapes.
• This no-fire cooking activity made children self-reliant and they relished this dish and loved sharing with their friends.
