Baisakhi festival was celebrated on 13th April 2018 in our school. In assembly teacher explained that it is a harvest festival and people celebrate it in different ways and different names all over the country. In Punjab it is called Baisakhi , in West Bengal it is known as Paila Boisakh, in Kerala it is Vishu and in Assam it is celebrated as Rongali Bihu. One the day of baisakhi people wear new clothes. They prepare sweets and several tasty things at home, and also do puja .They thank God for the beautiful crop and seek blessings for good time ahead. A fair is held everywhere in connection with the baisakhi festival. Children of UKG came in traditional dress of various states and danced to different folk songs. Sweets made from Jaggery and sesame seeds were shared with children.
